40mm Roof Batten - is the economical alternative to timber roof battens. Made from Hi-Tensile Australian steel, they are versatile and easy to use battens which are compatible with all roof claddings. They can be fixed directly to the rafters using screws or nails through the flanges. The roof cladding is then fixed to the battens using self drilling screws. The 40mm Battens, can be over-lapped, saving time with the consuming process of cutting to length & so making them quicker and easier to install. Their consistent straightness simplifies alignment and fastening is quick and easy using self-drilling screws.

22mm Metal Ceiling Batten - is light and strong and has many advantages over timber battens. Formed from Hi-Tensile zinc/ aluminium coated steel coil, Metal Ceiling Battens remain straight, are of uniform and consistent shape and can be end lapped which reduces the amount of cutting as with timber battens. Metal Ceiling Battens are now used by most Builders as it prevents Plasterboard cracking and "nail popping" caused by shrinkage of inferior timber battens. Metal ceiling battens are fixed to the joists using either screws or nails through the flanges. The ceiling board is then fixed to the top Vee of the section.
